- Miska returns from a night-time scouting trip to Sicvarp with the news that it is abandoned by the Eowan.
- The Corn King and Queen agree with Wistan that they will help the Geats in the hope that there will be less bloodshed. They free their bodyguards from ensorcelment. They awake and remember nothing from the previous five years. They also heal Thegn Osgar of the witch’s curse.
- The Geats decide to move to Sikvarp. A party approach overland and find it is indeed abandoned – at least by the Eowan. The Corn King and Queen banish the Aelfs and Hedge-Sprites left to guard the place in their absence.
- When the Geatish ships arrive at the harbour entrance they are attacked by Nicor. It is repulsed by the Thunor Priest, Leofdag the Leaper, though not before grabbing an oarsman, Eofor in its beaked maw and tossing his body onto the island in the harbour mouth.
- A boat is sent to retrieve Eofor’s body but its crew find no sign of it. In the night a pair of lookouts sent to man a viewing platform over night fail to return.
- In the morning Thegn Osgar leads a party to explore the island. They are aided by the Wade-Priest Bumoth who provides them with amulets to operate under water. They find a Nicor den under the island and slay the four nicor they find there. They rescue one lucky survivor of the lookouts, Brygthelm, and take a huge haul of treasure.
