Hrothgar from the crags of East Geatland is a young man unremarkable in stature or comeliness, but of unusual deftness, adept with a sling. He comes from a poor family without the resources to support him and his four siblings, so as soon as he was of age, he left home to fend for himself. He enjoys the outdoors even in the depths of winter and has learnt to take his part in the shield wall in addition to skirmishing with his sling.
